Guided Hike

Path to Paradise

A delightful trail where you discover your own heaven

Travel on a little-known trail that winds up and away from the busy crowds of summer. The forest floor is soft underfoot and giant trees overhead provide cooling shade as you relax into the peace of nature. At the apex of the hike, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view overlooking the City, which will seem so very far away. On your return, keep your eyes out for wildlife including deer, eagles, and butterflies. Once back in the Cove, we will celebrate with a special ice cold treat at one of Bowen’s favourite hangouts.

Please be aware this hike is not for casual walkers. It requires a modest level of fitness as the first section is a steady ascent. The terrain can be uneven or loose and does have potential tripping hazards such as rocks and roots. Having said all that, it is a beautiful and soothing trail.

Physical ability

All adventurers need to be in good physical health in order to fully participate. When selecting your adventure, please make sure you have read through the description carefully and assess your ability to cope with the activities involved. Please note that if, in the opinion of the instructor or guide, any participant is unable to complete the itinerary without undue risk to themselves and/or the rest of the group, Bowen Island Adventures reserves the right to exclude them from the adventure without refund.

Medical and travel insurance

Emergency Medical Insurance is recommended for all out-of-province participants. When selecting a travel insurance policy it is recommended that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses, including emergency repatriation. For multi-day events, we suggest the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. We recommend Covermore by Manulife Insurance for Canadian travellers.
